Weeks 14-17, it's a...

Sorry I haven't updated lately I've had a busy month!

17 weeks...

That's right, we are having another boy! We are thrilled beyond words. I'm surprised at how well I contained myself during the ultrasound when they told me, but when I got home I immediately started sobbing. Jon asked me "what's wrong," to which I replied, "nothing at all, I'm just so happy." I feel so blessed to have another opportunity at raising a boy, and the best part is that everything looks completely healthy and normal, there was nothing questionable during the ultrasound. He is actually even measuring a week ahead.

I've already bought a few shirts for the little guy, I love baby boy clothing, so I'm excited to be able to shop for boys and girls clothes now. I have another ultrasound in about five weeks with my perinatologist just to double check everything and ease my mind. I feel like I can finally let out a sigh of relief knowing everything is ok. This weekend Jon was able to feel him kicking for the first time, it was such a special moment for the both of us. I'm just so glad I'm finally able to be happy and now I get to do all the fun planning, shopping and celebrating the milestones that I didn't get to do my last pregnancy.

I followed your embracing elijah blog and I had a feeling you were pregnant so I came to check again. I wish i had checked sooner! I feel so close to you as an angel mommy. I lost my daughter Ava a few weeks after you loss Elijah. And now I am expecting along with you! I am due August 28th 2011. (Right now baby is measuring 2 weeks ahead but it might just be a growth spurt.) Our baby is staying a suprise of gender until he/she is born. But I wanted to let you know I am praying for you. And I always think of your family. I would love to follow you on Facebook if you have a page?
